A pleasant walk: a theme hike to the Wildbad in Innichen

Since 1856, an old hotel, Wildbad in Innichen, can be found between Innichen and Sexten. After its partial destruction during the First World War, the building was abandoned and is now a ruin that stands in a beautiful landscape. A path leads from Innichen (the Haunold valley station) to Sexten, through woods and meadows, to the ruins of the hotel and the mineral springs. A pleasant excursion on a mostly flat land, about 3.3 km long.

Alta Via No. 1 – Long-distance trail in South Tyrol

Alta Via No. 1 can compete with the best long-distance hiking trails in the Alps. This route leads through 9-13 stages, from Lake Prags to Belluno for a total length of about 150 km. Along the way, the most ambitious hikers will cross extraordinary landscapes with exciting rocky spikes and impressive rock deposits. Culinary delicacies, such as energetic pasta dishes that taste of Bella Italia, await you in the mountain huts.

Alta Via No. 1 (or Dolomiten Höhenweg 1) connects three linguistic areas with related cultures. The trail starts in the Pustertal where German is spoken, then crosses the Ladin area of Fanes and continues south where, after passing the Falzarego Pass, Italian is spoken.

Further hiking tips are always available at Hotel Leitlhof, where you will find 4-star superior maximum comfort in Innichen.
