Just in 2009 the International Mountain Summit was a great event. This year it is in program from the 30th of October to the 7th of November 2010 in Bressanone. During the festival dedicated to the mountains you can listen to the world’s best mountaineers and climbers in a series of fascinating talks, you can hike together with world-famous climbers, you can see interesting mountain films.
Also in program the finale of the Slackline Worldcup 2010. The Panorama Hotel Leitlhof in San Candido will be open again from 03rd of December 2010.

From July 15 until the end of August 2010 every Thursday with start at 5 o’clock pm San Candido offers delicious gastronomic specialties with live music in the pedestrian area. You can also go shopping under the stars, because shops and stores will be open between 8.30 and 10.30 pm. This event will take place a few steps from the Panorama Hotel Leitlhof in San Candido.

San Candido offers a lot of events during summer month to its guests: traditional events like concerts from the local music band, guided escursions, handicraft markets, celebration. But obviously there are in program also the big events: for example the Alta Pusteria International Choir Festival, concerts of the Gustav Mahler music week or the Hochpustertal-Run for sport fans. But, look and see, during a summer holiday at the Panorama Hotel Leitlhof in San Candido.

The carnival is the most clownish time of the year and there is a lot of entertainment in program also here in San Candido. For example on the ski slopes, where the ski school Baranci San Candido organizes a masked ski-run with torches on Thursday 11th, and on Tuesday 16th of February 2010. In program also a masked ball on Monday 15th of February, organized by the fire brigade of San Candido. And not to forget, Saint Valentine’s Day this year is during carnival. A good occasion to surprise your darling with a wellness holiday in the Panorama Hotel Leitlhof in San Candido.

Today starts the international snow festival in San Candido. Teams of all over the world will form on big snow blocks (3 x 3 x 3 m) sculptures. To realize that within the 15th of January 2010, the teams can only use water and her tools. The creations will dominate the village and, the low winter temperatures, will contribute to give the sculptures a long last. We, 
from the Panorama Hotel Leitlhof in San Candido, wish to all the teams a lot of fun and a great success.

Bright lights, the scents of pines, cinnamon, vanilla and mulled wine… this is the advent season. Enjoy this time in the Panorama Hotel Leitlhof in San Candido and have a visit to the Christmas Market in Brunico, which is only 30 km away. Just for 12 years this Market has attracted thousands of visitors with its atmosphere. Here you find a lot of gift ideas, especially traditional South Tyrolean products. But the Christmas Market offers also an interesting program of events, for example the “Living Nativity”: the figures of the “living nativity”, Mary and her Child, Joseph, the shepherds and servants, the Three Kings, sheep, oxen, donkeys and horses, walk in procession through the town center.

Around the 6th December in Alta Pusteria there waits a old tradition, especially for children: Santa Claus goes through the roads of the villages and he will be in company of the “Krampus” who will frightening children and adults with rusty chains and bells. The costume of the Krampus consists of red wooden masks, black sheeps’s skin and horns. In Dobbiaco, there is in program, on the 7th December 2009 at 5 p.m.., one of the biggest processions with about 200 Krampus. Also a great event is hold in Sesto, on the 4th of December. Santa Claus, on 6th December 2009 visit also San Candido, and on the 5th December he will be in Villabassa and he gives little presents to the children. From 3rd December 2009 the Panorama Hotel Leitlhof will again be open and so you have a good starting point to visit one or more of those traditional events.

A special week which will show you farmers live and farmer’s market is hold every year in September in San Candido. From the 12th to the 13th of September 2009 there is the farmer’s market in the center of San Candido, where you can buy typical products and you can also taste specialties of the region. During the week you can visit a farm, a mill and you can participate also at a course of cooking.
