Early summer is an ideal time for hiking in the Dolomites of the Alta Pusteria Valley, UNESCO Natural World Heritage. Here, in this wonderful landscape, you can choose between romantic mountain lakes, high alpine tours, round tours and easy walks in the valley. Our walking tip: the round-excursion from San Candido to the Baranci hut and from there to the Thermal Source and return to San Candido. In 1 hour you arrive from the sports center Erschbaum to the Baranci hut at 1,499 meters. If you want you can also take the chairlift. At the mountain station you take path no. 7 down to Prati Ferrara meadow and you arrive back to the village of San Candido via the thermal sources. For all the round tour you need about 3 hours, if you take the chairlift about 2 hours.

This is summer fun: descent on valley with the summer toboggan slide Funbob – a must for everyone who whish to have something exciting during the holiday. The bobsleigh is long 1,750 m and it starts from the top station on the Baranci and arrives at the valley. The speed is self-regulating by everyone and reaches a maximum of 40 km/h. And, on 12th of June 2010 in program the “1 Euro day”: this signify that on this day the ascent with the chairlift and the descent with the funbob costs only 1 Euro. So, summer fun is guaranteed in San Candido.
