The traditional Eastern bread

Easter Bread LeitlhofEastern is a period with a lot of traditions. One of the traditions is the Eastern lunch with hard-boiled eggs, ham and bacon, sausages, asparagus with a special dressing sauce and horseradish and, not to forget, the traditional Eastern bread.

The traditional Eastern bread you can also bake at home. You need:

550 gram farina
40 gram yeast
100 gram sugar
1/8 liter milk
2 yolks
1/2 a teaspoon of sal
100 gram butter
lemon peel of half a lemon

Preparation:
Make a little dell into the farina and give the yeast, the sugar and the tepid milk at that. Coat it with a little bit of farina and let repose the paste for about 20 minutes. In this time the paste will reduplicate. After that add the sugar, the sal, the lemon peel, the creamy butter and the yolks and mix it really good. Let repose the paste so that it can reduplicate again. After that you mix the paste for the last time and you cut it into three equal pieces. Then form it all to a braid, brush it with mixed eggs and milk and bake it on 200 so that it get a nice golden-brown color.

We wish you good success.
